"Janhit Mein Jaari is Not A Bold film. It’s A Brave film” says Jai Basantu Singh

Gone are the days when directors would vie for big budget projects, popular starcast , larger than life storyline. These days a socially relevant film that entertains while passing a message to the society is exciting enough. That’s precisely how debutant director Jai Basantu Singh feels about his maiden venture Janhit Mein Jaari. “I really couldn’t have found a better project to kickstart my directorial journey,” says Singh.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Jai Basantu Singh’s journey to film industry was predestined. His mother was a huge film buff, and he grew up amidst film shoots and film screenings. “My mother was total film buff and would watch all films first day first show. She would take me to watch a lot of films also. That’s where I picked up the love for cinema. I grew up in Goregaon, Mumbai. That’s where most of the film studios are located. I still remember, I would bunk school and go and watch shootings on the sets for hours. I knew even then; this is the industry I wanted to get in. I wanted to be the man, the name called director. While many of my friends would be interested in watching the actors, I used to be fascinated by this person who would call the shots. The one everyone would listen to and follow. I didn’t know what a director was but I knew back then too, this is who I wanted to be. This was my dream in watching the person in my childhood,” says Singh with certainty.
Janhit Mein Jaari didn’t just fall in Singh’s lap. There were long, struggle some years before getting his chance to helm a full length feature film. Singh recalls his journey and says, “When I entered the industry, I went straight into production and it didn’t take much time for me to realise that direction was my true calling. I worked as an assistant director for 3-4 years and then joined Zee Tv as campaign and promo director. I shot 600-700 campaigns and promos of fiction and reality shows. That’s where my journey into direction began. My boss then, Puneet Goenka and Ashwini Yardi really gave me a free hand to shoot the way I wanted. I would really owe a great deal of my learning years to Zee Tv and both of them. In 2008 I quit Zee and went onto independently direct campaigns and promos of almost all big broadcasters. In 2009 recession came and that’s when i started directing Tv shows as set up director where my journey of telling a story from 30 sec to 30 min began. I owe a great deal of my journey upto this point to television shows. I couldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for all the campaigns and tv shows I directed.”
Singh directed many popular and successful shows like Ye Un Dino Ki Baat Hai, Ek Duje Ke Vaste, Ye Pyaar Nahi To Kya Hai, Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Namune, Jeannie Aur Jiju many hit shows.
I came on this project as Screenplay writer But wherever I used to narrate the script be it to actors, studios, or producers they always acknowledged of how effortlessly I narrate without even looking at the script even once that too for straight two and half hours. That is when my team , producers and studios started telling me that I should direct the film. Seeing the faith people had in me, I got the strength to direct this film.
He further adds, “Janhit Mein Jaari is a challenging subject. It’s about a woman who’s a salesgirl for condoms. In a country that still finds condom as a taboo word, I had to be very mindful to treat this subject delicately. I was walking a thin line. I didn’t want this film to be preachy but pass a good message at the same time. Didn’t want people to make fun of it but wanted to make this film entertaining too. But things eventually fell in place and I got the talented actress Nushrratt Bharuccha to work with who couldn’t be more right for this role. Even the rest of the cast was all very supportive. I really want this film to be a family entertainer and not a tv commercial people awkwardly move away from at homes.”

दिल्ली के व्यापारी 1 अक्तूबर से डीजल वाहनों पर प्रतिबंध के केजरीवाल सरकार के निर्णय का कड़ा विरोध करेंगे

दिल्ली के व्यापारी 1 अक्तूबर,2022 से 28 फरवरी, 2023 तक दिल्ली में डीजल वाहनों के प्रवेश को प्रतिबंधित करने के दिल्ली सरकार के फैसले की कड़ी निंदा करते हैं। दिल्ली सरकार का यह निर्णय दिल्ली के व्यापार को ऐसे समय में बंद कर देगा जब दिल्ली में यह पाँच महीने त्योहार और शादी का सीज़न होने के कारण व्यापार के लिए बहुत ही अच्छे होते हैं । दिल्ली सरकार के इस तुगलकी फरमान का दिल्ली के व्यापारी कड़ा विरोध करेंगे- कन्फ़ेडरेशन ऑफ़ ऑल इंडिया ट्रेडर्ज़ ( कैट) के राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री श्री प्रवीन खंडेलवाल तथा दिल्ली प्रदेश अध्यक्ष श्री विपिन आहूजा ने यह कहते हुए कहा की इससे इन पाँच महीनों में दिल्ली का व्यापार पूरी तरह चौपट हो जाएगा । इस गंभीर मुद्दे पर भविष्य की रणनीति तय करने के लिए कैट ने अगले सप्ताह दिल्ली के प्रमुख व्यापारिक संगठनों की एक मीटिंग 29 जून को बुलाई है । यह मुद्दा क्योंकि ट्रांसपोर्ट व्यापार को भी बुरी तरह प्रभावित करेगा इसलिए कैट इस संबंध में ट्रांसपोर्ट संगठनों से चर्चा कर उनके साथ संयुक्त रूप से यह लड़ाई लड़ेगा ।
श्री खंडेलवाल एवं श्री आहूजा ने कहा कि पर्यावरण की रक्षा करना वास्तव में बेहद ज़रूरी है किंतु इसके साथ यह भी देखा जाना चाहिए की सरकार के किसी भी निर्णय से किसी भी व्यापार पर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव न पड़े । उन्होंने कहा कि इस निर्णय से पाँच महीने तक दिल्ली में कोई भी सामान नहीं आ पाएगा क्योंकि दिल्ली में सारा माल अन्य राज्यों से ट्रकों में आता है और ट्रक डीज़ल से चलते हैं । लम्बी दूरी होने के कारण कोई भी ट्रक इलेक्ट्रिक या सीएनजी से नहीं चल सकते ।इस दृष्टि से सरकार का यह निर्णय यह निर्णय बेमानी है और इसके परिणाम को सोचे समझे बिना लिया गया है । कैट इस मामले में शीघ्र ही दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल श्री विनय कुमार सक्सेना से मिलेगा और इस निर्णय को रोके जाने का आग्रह करेगा और यदि आवश्यकता पड़ी तो केंद्र सरकार के दख़ल दिए जाने का भी प्रयास करेगा ।
कैट के प्रदेश महामंत्री श्री देवराज बवेज़ा एवं आशीष ग्रोवर ने कहा की सरकार का यह निर्णय मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के के व्यापारी विरोधी रवैये को दर्शाता है। उल्लेखनीय है कि दिल्ली देश का सबसे बड़ा वितरण केंद्र है और दिल्ली सरकार का राजस्व काफी हद तक व्यापारिक गतिविधियों पर निर्भर है। अगर यह आदेश लागू होता है तो दिल्ली में दूसरे राज्यों से और दिल्ली से दूसरे राज्यों में माल की ढुलाई पर बड़ा रोड़ा बन जाएगा।सवाल यह है की इस निर्णय के लागू होने से क्या दिल्ली के व्यापारी दिल्ली से सटे अन्य राज्यों की सीमा में प्रवेश कर वहाँ पर माल लेंगे या देंगे क्योंकि डीज़ल वाले ट्रकों का दिल्ली में प्रवेश निषेध होगा तथा यह किसी भी हालत में व्यावहारिक नहीं है । यदि ऐसा है भी तो इस पर जीएसटी कर के अंतर्गत व्यापारियों को अनावश्यक कर क़ानून की पेचीदगियों का सामना करना पड़ेगा और दिल्ली में माल महँगा हो जाएगा ।यदि यह निर्णय लागू होता है तो बेहतर यही होगा की दिल्ली का व्यापार अन्य राज्यों में स्थान्तरित हो जाए ।

हरिद्वार से दिल्ली गांजा सप्लाई करता था, गिरफ्तार, 850 ग्राम गांजा बरामद ।
थाना सुल्तान पुरी के सतर्क स्टाफ ने 01 ड्रग तस्कर सुरेश पुत्र राम स्वरूप निवासी एम-38, कृष्ण विहार, सुल्तान पुरी, दिल्ली, उम्र 37 वर्ष को 850 ग्राम गांजा की बरामदगी के साथ गिरफ्तार किया ।
*घटना का संक्षिप्त विवरण और गिरफ्तारी*
बाहरी जिले के क्षेत्र में अवैध ड्रग्स/शराब की बिक्री पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए, श्री समीर शर्मा, DCP/OD द्वारा संगठित अपराध के खिलाफ जीरो टॉलरेंस के निर्देश जारी किए गए थे I
निर्देश का पालन करते हुए दिनांक 02.07.2022 को थाना सुल्तान पुरी के बीट स्टाफ Hc जय भगवान अपराध का पता लगाने और रोकथाम के लिए बीट क्षेत्र में मौजूद था। शाम करीब 7:50 बजे जब वह लखी राम चौक, पूठ कलां के पास पहुंचे तो उन्होंने देखा कि एक व्यक्ति एक संदिग्ध पॉलीथिन ले जा रहा है, जिसने पुलिस पार्टी को देखकर भागने की कोशिश की, लेकिन पुलिस पार्टी ने पीछा किया और उसे काबू कर लिया. उससे पुलिस से भागने का कारण पूछा गया लेकिन उसने गुमराह करने की कोशिश की और बात पर नहीं आया। आगे उससे बैग के बारे में पूछा गया लेकिन उसने पॉलिथीन बैग के बारे में बदलते बयान दिए और बैग नहीं खोला। उसका विवरण सुरेश पुत्र राम स्वरूप निवासी एम-38, कृष्ण विहार, सुल्तान पुरी, दिल्ली, उम्र 37 वर्ष पाया गया और उसके बैग की तलाशी के दौरान उसके बैग से 850 ग्राम गांजा बरामद हुआ।
तदनुसार, थाना सुल्तान पुरी में FIR No. 593/22, U/s 20(b)(ii)A NDPS अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया था। उक्त आरोपित को गिरफ्तार कर जांच शुरू कर दी गई है।
*पूछताछ*
निरंतर पूछताछ के दौरान, आरोपी ने खुलासा किया कि वह उक्त पते पर रहता है और राजस्थान के सीकर जिले का रहने वाला है। वह अशिक्षित है और मजदूरी का काम करता है। उसने खुलासा किया कि अपने काम के पेशे के कारण, वह बहुत थक जाता था और एक बार वह हरिद्वार गया, जहाँ उसकी मुलाकात किसी अज्ञात व्यक्ति से हुई जिसने उसे गांजा दिया। गांजे का सेवन करने के बाद उसने महसूस किया कि इसके सेवन से उनकी थकान कम हो जाती है। इसलिए हर महीने वो हरिद्वार जाने लगा और वहीं से वो अपने लिए गांजा खरीदाता था । उसने आगे खुलासा किया कि हरिद्वार में कोई निश्चित व्यक्ति या जगह नहीं थी जहां से वो गांजा खरीदा था और बताया कि वह घाट के पास बैठते थे, जहां नशा तस्कर आते थे। उसने गांजा बेचने से पैसे कमाने का फैसला किया और उसके लिए उसने हरिद्वार से अधिक मात्रा में गांजा सस्ती दरों पर खरीदकर इसे दिल्ली में राहगीरों को अधिक कीमत पर बेचने की योजना बनाई। जिसके लिए उसने 850 ग्राम गांजा 4000 रुपये नकद में हरिद्वार से खरीदा, लेकिन इससे पहले कि वह उसे अंजाम दे पाता, उसे पकड़ लिया गया।

• सुरेश पुत्र राम स्वरूप निवासी एम-38, कृष्ण विहार, सुल्तान पुरी, दिल्ली, उम्र 37 वर्ष। वह नशे का आदी है, अशिक्षित है और मजदूरी का काम करता है। वह पहले दिल्ली आबकारी अधिनियम के 02 आपराधिक मामलों में शामिल है।
*बरामदगी*
• 850 ग्राम गांजा।

LADY DRUG PEDDLER SELLING ILLEGAL DRUG INJECTIONS NABBED RED-HANDED BY THE VIGILANT STAFF OF PS RAJ PARK
The vigilant staff of PS Raj Park have arrested 01 lady drug peddler namely Nisha @ Laxmi W/o Ballu R/o Jhuggi No 124, F-6/W-49, HGI Labour Colony, Sultan Puri, Delhi, age 37 yrs along with the recovery of 20 needles, 20 syringes, 20 avil injections, 20 buprenorphine (2 ml- 5 X 4 ) injections from her possession.
*BRIEF OF THE INCIDENT & ARREST*
In order to curb the selling of illegal Drugs/Liquor in the area of Outer District, directions have been issued by Sh Sameer Sharma, DCP/OD for zero tolerance against the organised crime. It has also came into the notice that illegal injections are being sold to young students/Juveniles who are made drug addict and later these drug addicts indulge in crime and become habitual criminal. So, the main purpose is to curb the root cause of this evil practice.
Following the directions, the staff of PS Raj Park deployed secret informers and starting developing information about these kinds of drug peddlers. On 02.02.2022, the beat staff of PS Raj Park ASI Subhash, HC Jadgish and W/Ct. Neeraj were present in area for detection and prevention of crime. At about 9:30 PM, when they reached near Indus Area Phase – 1, near Mangol Puri under-pass, one secret informer met them and gave information about a lady selling illegal drug injections. Further, it was told that she is a habitual drug peddler and she had also been previously arrested in an NDPS case. The same information was apprised to senior officers and after due approval the team laid a trap on the information of secret informer. At around 10:00 pm, they saw a lady person carrying a suspicious cloth bag, the same was confirmed by the secret informer.
The dedicated team chased her, who after seeing the police party tried to escape but the police party overpowered her. She was asked the reason of running from the police but she beat about the bush and didn’t come to the point. Further she was asked about her bag but she gave changing statements about the bag and she was very much unwilling to open her bag. Her details were found to be Nisha @ Laxmi W/o Ballu R/o Jhuggi No 124, F-6/W-49, HGI Labour Colony, Sultan Puri, Delhi, age 37 yrs and during the search of her bag 20 needles, 20 syringe, 20 Avil injections, 20 Buprenorphine (2 ml- 5 X 4) injections were recovered from her bag.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 494/22, U/s 20(c) NDPS Act was registered in Raj Park. The said accused was arrested and investigation was initiated.
*INTERROGATION*
During sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed that she lives at the address on rent and she is uneducated and unemployed. Her financial condition is very poor and to earn money for a living, she started selling drug injections. She is also found involved in an NDPS case vide FIR NO 603/202 U/s 20(B)(ii)A NDPS Act, PS Raj Park. She disclosed that after that case she stopped that practice but 02-03 months before she again started selling drug injections. On further enquiry, she disclosed that she buys the injections from one person namely Sonu who used to meet her at Udhyog Nagar Metro Station. The whereabouts of the alleged Sonu are not known to her. Moreover, all the possible hideouts of this alleged supplier are raided but he is not arrested yet.
*PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON*
• Nisha @ Laxmi W/o Ballu R/o Jhuggi No 124, F-6/W-49, HGI Labour Colony, Sultan Puri, Delhi, age 37 yrs. She is previously involved in 01 criminal case of NDPS Act. She is uneducated and unemployed.
*RECOVERY*
• 20 needles, 20 syringe, 20 avil injections, 20 buprenorphine (2 ml - 5 X 4) injections recovered.
Further investigation is being carried out to nab the drug supplier Sonu.
